In spite of the downpour, Sydneysiders pounded the pavement from Dee Why to Manly on Sunday, February 3 in The Sydney Morning Herald Sun Run, jogging, running and walking the 6.5km (approximate) course.
Thomas Docanto and Reegan Ellis won the top male and female spots in Sydney’s favorite summer fun run with times of 21:05 minutes and 25:28 minutes respectively.
The Sun Run saw people of all ages and capabilities take on the course, which weaves its way along the striking coastline with all finishers receiving a commemorative medal for their efforts.
The family friendly event raises much needed funds for more than 700 charities, including Manly Surf Life Saving Club.
