Taking into consideration the current NSW Health Orders and to ensure participant and community safety, the Sun Run 2021 will be a 10km run only. Unfortunately, the 7km run and Aquathon (run-swim-run) will not proceed this year. Sun Run 2021 has safety measures in place and approved by the relevant health authorities, including:

- You will be assigned to a start group, limited to a maximum number of people as per NSW health restrictions.
- As part of the registration process, please indicate how you plan to get to and from the Sun Run 2021 so we can ensure adequate transportation services are available.
- To reduce touch points and face to face interactions, we encourage you to register early and opt for race pack postage (cut off for postage will be Wednesday 20 January 2021).
- We will send you a safety briefing via email ahead of the event. You will be required to complete a pre-event questionnaire 48 hours prior to attending.
- Updates will be shared via email and our social media pages.
- We encourage you to download and use the COVIDSafe app.

- You will be allocated an arrival time 15 minutes prior to your start time. You MUST start within your allocated start group.
- We will have dedicated COVID safety marshals at the start area.
- To assist in reducing touch points, there will be NO baggage services available at the event. We encourage you to limit personal items and carry necessary items on you.
- Please don’t rush! Your time will be activated when you cross the start line.
- Please refrain from giving high fives or hugs to others and maintain physical distancing.
- The start area will be spectator free.
- All of our friendly staff will be wearing face masks.
- Please use hand sanitiser available throughout the start, finish and drink station areas (including the toilets)

- We will have mobile COVID safety marshals on course.
- Please use hand sanitiser available throughout the start, finish and drink station areas (including the toilets)
- Please bring your own water bottle. There are water stations on course for you to refill and refresh.
- All drink stations and first aid locations will have COVID-safe signage and hand sanitiser available.
- All of our friendly staff will be wearing face masks.

- Once you cross the finish line, we kindly ask that you move on quickly and head home. Alternatively support local businesses by booking a table for breakfast at either Dee Why or Manly before you head off.
- For winners of the race, there will be no formal presentations. Each winner (1st, 2nd, 3rd male / female) will be taken to a designated area for individual photos and prize giving.
- Our friendly volunteers will be wearing masks and gloves and will hand you your medal in a COVID-safe way.
- Please refrain from giving high fives or hugs to others and maintain physical distancing.
- The finish line area will be spectator free.
- We will have dedicated COVID safety marshals at the finish area.
- Please use hand sanitiser available throughout the start, finish and drink station areas (including the toilets)
- All of our friendly staff will be wearing face masks. There will be plenty of signage to direct you to your mode of transportation.
We will do our best to ensure Sun Run 2021 proceeds! An alternate date may be looked at to stage the event. If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 and alternate dates are unavailable, a full refund of your entry fee will be provided.
Please note, charitable donations are not refundable.
Please contact our customer service team if you have undertaken a COVID-19 test with a positive result within 14 days of Sun Run 2021 and/or if you have undertaken a COVID-19 test and awaiting results. You will require proof of testing and/or results.
If you have been in a NSW hotspot in the last 14 days, we ask that you do not attend Sun Run 2021.
It is important for the ongoing control of COVID-19 in NSW that anyone in the state who has any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, continues to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative test result is received.
