You will be allocated an arrival time 20 minutes prior to your start time. You MUST start within your allocated start group. Your race number, including your timing tag, is assigned to a particular start group as selected during registration. Your time will be activated when you cross the start line. If you begin the race prior to your designated start group time, you will NOT receive an official time and you will be disqualified.
To ensure the road closure times are adhered to, the following cut-off times will be in place across the course:
All participants will receive a finisher’s medal and downloadable finisher’s photos. Prizes are awarded for males and females who finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the 10km and 7km race.
The timing tag on your race bib may be kept or disposed of after the race.
You can receive your results shortly after crossing the finish line with an SMS sent directly to your mobile phone.
You can add the SMS My Result option during registration. If you wish to purchase this add-on after registration, simply log into your Dashboard, select ‘My Registrations’ and ‘Make Changes’ to add extra items.
There will be no baggage service available. All participants are encouraged to carry necessary personal items on them.
Public toilets located along the course will be open. Please familiarise yourself with our public toilet locations.
When entering Sun Run, the Terms and Conditions must be accepted by each individual entrant.
The refund policy for 2025 is listed below. There are no exceptions to this rule and no refunds will be given for change of mind or situation.
I acknowledge that refunds will only be issued for the Event entry fee where participation in the Event is not appropriate due to medical reasons that is supported by a current medical certificate outlining the condition and lodged with Council before 5.00pm (AEDT) on Wednesday 15 January 2025. I understand that a $10 administration fee will be withheld. Refunds will not be made for any additional items purchased, such as event merchandise and charitable donations.
Council reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time if Council considers in its sole discretion this is required due to any dangerous conditions and/or force majeure.
In the event of cancellation, there will be no refund of entry fee unless otherwise determined by Council in its sole discretion and the cancelled Event may not be re-scheduled.
A decision will be made ASAP on race day and entrants will be notified via email, SMS (where possible) and via the Event website and social media pages.
