Plan your trip and allow enough time to get you to the start line.

Public transport

Participants are encouraged to consider all the available travel options ahead of time.

If you are catching public transport, allow extra travel time and plan ahead using Trip Planner to see the latest service information.

Road closures, parking restrictions and changed resident access conditions will be in place from 3am around Dee Why, North Curl Curl, Curl Curl, Freshwater, Queenscliff and Manly. All roads will reopen by 11am.

Event Shuttle Buses

Free special event shuttle bus services will run from Wynyard, Balgowlah and Manly, making limited stops to help get participants to the start line in Dee Why and again after the event on the same routes, home from Manly. Participants must show their bib prior to boarding the bus.

The special event shuttle bus timetable will be shared a week prior to Sun Run 2025.

Additional measures and staff will be in place around transport hubs to safely manage crowds arriving and leaving the event, so please be patient and follow the directions of staff on site.

After you have finished your run, please follow the map below for the best route to the event shuttle bus stop.

Parking

Parking is available in multiple locations surrounding the event. There is limited street parking available nearby in both Dee Why and Manly. The parking stations below will be open. Please check parking signs before leaving your vehicle.
