Start times & Course maps

Sun Run 2025 will proceed with the 7km and 10km courses.

Both courses will commence at The Strand, Dee Why and finish on South Steyne, Manly taking in the picturesque surrounds of Curl Curl, Freshwater and Queenscliff along the way.

Saturday 1 February 2025

6am - Race HQ opens (start line)

6.30am - 10km event starts

  • 6.30am - Black start (seeded) & Purple start
  • 6.50am - Bioglan Blue start

7.15am - 7km event starts

  • 7.15am - Yellow start
  • 7.20am - Red start

Cut-off times

To ensure the road closure times are adhered to, the following cut-off times will be in place across the course:

10km event

  • 7am - Start line
    The Strand at Oaks Avenue
    10km participants must cross the start line by this time.
  • 7.10am - 1km mark
    Griffin Road, at Pitt Road
    10km participants to continue straight and join the 7km course.
  • 8.05am - 5.5km mark
    Carrington Parade and Lumsdaine Drive
    Participants continue on the course without passing Drink Station 2.
  • 8.30am - 6.5km mark
    Charles Street, at Evans Street
    Participants move to footpath.
  • 8.40am - 8km mark
    Queenscliff Road, at Dalley Road
    Participants move to footpath.

7km event

  • 7.30am - Start line
    The Strand at Oaks Avenue
    7km participants must cross the start line by this time.
  • 8.05am - 2.5km mark
    Carrington Parade and Lumsdaine Drive
    Participants continue on the course without passing Drink Station 2.
  • 8.30am - 3.5km mark
    Charles Street, at Evans Street
    Participants move to footpath.
  • 8.40am - 5km mark
    Queenscliff Road, at Dalley Road
    Participants move to footpath.
